Is Miles Austin an option instead of Tate?

I'm hearing a lot about Austin getting cut down here in tx and am thinking if Tate decides to leave that Austin might not be a terrible consolation prize. He's tough, fights for balls , and would likely come in on a lower tier contract with a chance to play for a contender. Might be an under the radar find, even for us.

Thoughts?

Austin misses a minimum of 2 games a season due to his chronic hamstring injury. No way I want him around.

As mentioned, the Hawks are already fine at slot receiver. They should replace Tate with a pure outside receiver. A Rice replacement to compete with Kearse.

3 years ago yes, if I had my choice no. Seems too fragile and I'd get tired of watching him in a hawks uniform jesturing and begging for a flag whenever he drops a pass or the DB makes a good play.

Being him in cheap and let him compete for a roster spot. Se if he had anything left if so great Wr got a steal, If not then he's cut.
