Eric Reid would benefit from investing his time in the Seattle Seahawks under the watchful eyes of Rocky Seto.

He would benefit greatly from learning the Hawk Tackle and other useful techniques to protect his brain.

Or maybe it wont be Reid. it could be Dockett who still isn't practicing (And who hasn't played a game in almost two years)

I do wish Reid would retire, and actually reading the article made me feel bad for the kid. It reminded me of Kevin Kolb who had so many concussions in a short time period and still suffers with it today. Having to wear sunglasses inside because of light sensitivity, and often hearing a sound like a shotgun next to his ear, not to mention memory loss. He had 3 concussions that he knows about.

I feel Reids quality of life could easily amount to nothing with another concussion or two and he seems prone to them considering he's had 3 in less than two years.

On the other hand I get the idea of the post is to continue to pile on. In that sense I would get a great deal of laughter from the act of the retirement itself. Especially if it was before the first week of the season. Because I do despise the franchise. Part of me hopes another player (Doesn't have to be Reid at this point) does retire because at this point that franchise just provides pure comedy gold in every single aspect possible.

From the Owner, to the Stadium, to the coach, to the players, to the delusions.

Saw where ER said he was taken out of context. 2 concussions in 2 years may lead to a short career though.

Here's the business decision he made two years ago against Mike Tolbert. Lights out. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bnIibC_wlwQ

I see your Mike Tolbert, and raise you Kam Chancellor.

Kam definitely ate his Wheaties that night. And it takes a helluva man to do that to Mike Tolbert, but he was not the same player in 2014 (78 yards, 0 TDs) than 2013 (361 yards, 5 TDs, Pro Bowl). He may be on the outside looking in of a roster spot in the not too distant future. Kam Chancellor is still not human.

For the record....

...and honestly its a bit uncomfortable watching him play sometimes because I worry for his health. I'm kinda torn on it.

Reid has every right to be mad at that writer. The guy turned Reid's evaluating into mulling retirement. Bad job.

I'd imagine that every player in the league goes through a personal mental/physical/financial audit after every season.

Yeah, I'm glad Reid called him out, if what he says was true. I wonder if the idiot writer has a recording and whether he'll backpedal or stand his ground. :hmmmm:

So Marvin, what's you best guess on who is telling the truth. Is Branch in the circle of trust normally? Why do you think Reid wouldn't sit down to clarify?

Again...anyone but the Cohns and Kawakami.

Branch? My guess is it's a misunderstanding and Reid doesn't feel the need to clarify as he already did on Twitter. If I felt I was screwed by a reporter I wouldn't be rushing to give the guy a chance to report further.

As for the "truth"? My guess is he's concerned about the concussions and evaluates as all players do and was asked about it specifically after the retirements of Borland and Davis.

Marvin's list of approved writers is about to get shorter.

Nah...Branch is a good beat writer most of the time. I don't think he's making sh*t up. Probably a misunderstanding.

Well if it was an honest mistake by Branch I don't see why sitting down with him for a couple minutes to clarify would be all that big of a deal.

Its MY opinion that it was an honest mistake. Can't speak for Reid.

I figure if it's on my twitter, it's on most who follow our teams, but I did laugh at this one today:

Just in: the 49ers 2017 first round draft pick has just announced his retirement.
