Man this sucks.

I'm not sure if the NFL rules allow it or not, but the combine is often a time when, officially or unofficially, GMs get together to talk about players and perhaps trade scenarios. I would imagine that this Bryant news, if true, comes after JS determined that Bryant would have no trade value after chatting with other NFL personnel guys. Rice was released during this combine too.
