Have the #1 offense played the #1 defense, when those 2 teams have also been #1 seeds?

I think I heard that 15 times #1 "O" has played #1 "D" and that 12 out of 15 times the "D" has won.
But I don't recall anybody talking about those teams also being #1 seeds.
Anybody know this stat, and what the outcome was?

Three times the #1 offense has played the #1 defense in the Super Bowl. Don't know if they were #1 seeds or not, but that seems irrelevant. The team with the #1 defense has won all three games, two in blowouts.

Well I'm fairly certain that it's been 15 times, heard it again today. The #1 "d" has won 12 of the 15.
I'm still unable to figure out how many of those games involved the 2, number 1 seeds.

It's 4 times #1 D vs #1 O. This is the 5th time. 3 outta the 4 the #1D won.

Wish somebody could post the info. I can't find it, but I've heard the media "say" it, at least 3 times. I'm not disputing anybody, I just would like to know the facts.
I saw the 12/15 scroll across the bottom of screen last night during the NFLN condensed replay of NFCCG.

15 times the #1 D has played in the Superbowl, going 12-3. 18 times the #1 O has played in the Superbowl going 10-8. As stated above, 4 times have both met in the Superbowl with the D going 3-1.

Ah ha, now I see where my confusion is coming from. Thank you gentlemen.

Anybody know if out of those 4 games, both teams were #1 seeds?
