finished the season with 26TD's and 9 int, with a 101.2 QB rating. Also rushed for 600 yards, over 5 yards per carry while leading the Seahawks to a 13-3 record and #1 overall seed?

That's all.

I think it would help to show his rookie year stats.

No kidding right. Marginal increases in some areas, decreases in others.

I haven't heard anyone say Russell's "regressed."

I have heard people say defenses are starting to figure out our offense, which is true. Our offense hasn't been half as dynamic as it was at the end of last year. But that's a personnel/play calling/winning battles issue, not a Russell Wilson issue.

I don't know about regressed, but Russ has missed a lot of open WRs lately. He's missed some reads. If he's responsible for all the audibles, he hasn't audibled into favorable situations at times, or audibled out of unfavorable ones.

Regressed ? From the stat line, I'd say no. Keep in mind, our protection was horrible this year. The other thing about Wilson is that he's not an RG3, Jeff George, Michael Vick, Matt Stafford kind of guy that doesn't think they need to improve on anything and doesn't accept any accountability. They say a QB peaks in about year 4, that's what you can expect from the guy for the rest of his career (if you take care of the team around him; not many guys can will teams to win with horrible personnel). That said, along with Wilson's personality and work ethic, even if we see a 10% increase from what we've already gotten from him, we're going to see a 30 TD/ 10INT or less type of year with around 3500 yards passing, 400ish yards rushing and a mid 60% completion rate.

Is that good enough to win ? I think so. He tied P. Manning's rookie TD record. I believe he tied for 2nd all time with Manning for TD's in his first 2 years. He's on a damned good career arc so far and I'm liking it. Sure, there's things to work on, but I think we're being spoiled here.

I hope we don't "Marc Bulger" Wilson and ruin his career. He's starting to hear footsteps no matter what. It was PATHETIC how many times the pocket collapsed on him within two seconds flat of the snap yesterday, and half the times it didn't, there was some freaking Rams player running unblocked straight at Wilson from somewhere. I know they're a good pass rushing defense, but still, our O-line needs some real improvement. Look at Peyton or Brady and how often they can stand as still as a statue for 4+ seconds...

That's with 4/5th of his O-line missing 25% (20/80 games) of their starts with 19 of those being the three most vital players: Okung, Unger, and Giacomini.

I'm not including players who also played through injuries like Unger, who has missed 3 starts, but has played through various arm and chest injuries. Not to mention Okung with his toe issues.

Not only that but 5 players from past, present, and future in Anthony McCoy, Sidney Rice, Zach Miller, Michael Robinson, and Percy Harvin have missed 60% (48/80 games) of their opportunities to help Wilson and the Seahawks offense. Three being the team's highest paid WRs (Miller, Rice, Harvin) and three being well-rounded but possibly more vital in protection (Miller, Robinson, McCoy).

So in Overall Protection, 7 players, with several being very important, have missed 36% (46/128 games) of their playing time and opportunities in helping the team protect Wilson.

Our last four games have been against some of the better defenses in the league.

SF, NYGiants, and Arizona are all top 10 teams in terms of total defense. They are also all top 10 in opponent passer rating against.

The Rams are 15th in total D, and 3rd in sacks. Quinn is a beast and obviously a matchup issue for Okung or whomever we line up at LT.

Kearse didn't play yesterday leaving us with basically just Baldwin and Tate. Lockette was on the field but he hasn't been back on the team long and there are reasons he hasn't stuck on any other teams.

There are two teams in the playoffs who are going to be able to play this kind of game against us: SF, and Carolina. We've already beat them both, so we can hang.

The guy preaches consistency and if you look at his numbers, they are consistent. Almost identical stats to last years. I'd rather have a guy who is consistent day in and out than one who is on a roller-coaster. One big game, one bad game. With Russell you know what you will get each game - consistency.

I would laugh (and already have in real life) at people who think Wilson has regressed this season. If anything at all, we have seen massive movement towards progression. The deck has been stacked against him all year. The injuries to the offensive line have already been explained. It has affected everything. Wilson has been hit more this year, obviously. Our running game has taken a step back. We were running out Ricardo Lockette and Brian Walters as our #3 and #4 receivers yesterday. No Harvin this season, obviously. While his lack of statistical production was not there, losing Sidney Rice has been a big hit to our offense.

All things considered, I am so impressed at what Wilson has done this year. It is nothing short of phenomenal.

Damn, Wilson has 190 carries for 1, 028 yards and 5 TDs with Marshawn Lynch rampagin for 2800 yards and 23 TDs the last two seasons.

Those two combined average about 1900 yards and 14 TDs the past two seasons... So Awesome.

Could you imagine that tandem playing behind the 49ers O-Line?

Wilson has not regressed, but he needs a better OC and better weapons. Luke Willson was a good start. This is the kind of player that Russell needs with him --fast, big and able to catch despite coverage. But the weapons on the outside are lacking. I know most didn't rate him, but I did --Rice is missed. Percy is missed.

But even with the weapons this offense currently has, with a better OC Wilson would have progressed far beyond his numbers of last year. Remember during the first half of last year he was only able to call a few pass plays. They played him extra conservative. His main job was to handoff or run. Only half way did they unleash him.

I would love to see our entire draft be Offensive lineman! Also get a #1 receiver to go with percy next year.
