If this defense could play under the same rules as the 85 Bears, would they be considered as one of the most fearsome, intimidating defenses in the history of the NFL?

I say yes. The Hawks aren't the '85 Bears because the rules will never allow the likes of them again, but I think they could be just as dominate in the same conditions.

I think we are real good on D but the 85 Bears were dominant. This year we had lapses especially in stopping the run and the only glitch I remember from the Bears D was the Dolphin game. Even if we played under the 1985 rules.

Wilbur Marshall would have been suspended by week 8.

If the Hawks win the SB it should be a legitimate question. In fact, I think you could throw best team of all time in there.

IF they win out.

Still have to clinch next week.

I would put the 2013 Seahawks D as Top 3 all time in the NFL.

The 85 Bears were legendary. The Baltimore team that won the Super Bowl had a pretty darn good D too. I'd take the Hawks' offense over either of those teams' offenses though and it's not even close.
