Do these things have any place in the week leading up to our game?

A guest presented them to our Thanksgiving dinner host. I thought it peculiar.

I assume he means the Mardi Gras-style beads. Nothing wrong with those as far as I know?

Yes, those. Surely a far too New Orleans centric gift on the eve of our game?

Can you imagine those budweiser lite superstitions loons putting up with that?

I'd say Mardi Gras beads have surpassed being strictly related to New Orleans. They're a universal party bead now. If a Saints fan gave them to you, there may be a slight dig in with them, but it's irrelevant; you can still wear them.

I was thinking of a completely different bead. However, I stand by if it is what you're into.

Wearing them will likely be problematic for your Seahawks. There is much negative gris-gris in mis-worn beads. Then again, gris-gris can be very positive. Your call. Win or lose it may be on your head ... or your neck.

Please expound! I haven't the slightest of clues as to what is being said.

You're either in high school, an AARP member, ultra right wing or playing dumb.

When you say Cali into those things, lets be clear. Even if I was, doesn't mean those things get into Cali.

I agree Guido. There is definately some bad Ju Ju associated with these beads. It turns out that a fortuitous turn of events has ocurred, and the host has managed to get these beads in a knot, and in a fit of frustration whilst attempting to untangle them, has broken them and cast them in to the trash.

He has ignored my instructions to position the trash bucket outside of his house, with a minimum of 12 feet separating the bin from the exterior walls of the residence. Fortunately his wife, who shares my demented sense of superstition, will comply with my instructions.

I never understood the attraction to cheap plastic beads. When you see people partying on tv in NO with these things on, they look like grade school kids trying to look impressive.

I love nice jewelry, and love gemstones (I'd better, I own a gemstone mine) but this cheap crap always leaves me shaking my head.

Beads have only the power of the beholder. If you're a true 12, you could wear beads, cheese on your head, do the tomahawk chop, blow a Nordic horn and sing HTTR and as long as it was all true blue and green we're going to dominate and it wouldn't make a goddam difference.

Beads you say? Wear them. Wear them proudly. As long as they're blue and green.

Personally, I'd recommend a Tanzanian flag, a bag full of Tanzanite, full Seahawks garb (head to toe) and perhaps a sign that says "I'm better at life than you" or simply "#DINNERS". A box of Top Pot recommended as well. If possible.

Wait, you own a gemstone mine? You and I must talk.
