With these "modern" day a linements Seattle is lagging behind a lot of the top teams. We should be taking advantage of these formations and turning them in our favor,that is if Pete is the inactivator he thinks he is.

So what different with these "modern" day alignments ? Well, on offense there is no fullback or blocking back, this verses one less DT on defense. Which means one less DT to deal with, BUT one more DB to get bye. Who is fast then a DT.

So how would you go about defeating this "modern" day formation ? Thats a good question Chawker !

Todays NFL is all about the pass, the brains have discarded the run game. Why is the game game so important to the game. Well, it does a multitude of things, T.O.P, set up the play action passing, lets your OL attack (the use of differant muscles)

I just can't figure out why we didn't run the ball more in the second half of this last game. Charbo can toat the rock, why ???

Charbs is not a RB. He's a FB playing RB.
Not his fault we are using him as a RB. He's probably be a hell of FB, in the Jon L. Williams / Mack Strong type of mold. He is physical, catches the ball, and like to lay out punishment.
But he isn't a RB.

You run the ball to beat the Rams. But that is hard to do without a RB. Running a FB as your primary back isn't going to work. We aren't going back to the days of running Dr. Dan.

Of course the coordinators are a reflection of the HC, but IMO Waldron is not in the same category as Pete's other O-coordinators who were hired to appease Russ and try to take advantage of his skillset.

Having now seen Waldron with two different QB's, yet still struggle a LOT with adjusting at halftime and in-game.............in his 3rd year?

Yeah, that's not good. And not something I lay at the feet of Pete. This offensive roster is maybe the most talented offensive roster in Hawk's history. Skill talent all over the field, and enough invested on the O-line to not stink like they stink right now.

Should not look this bad. They just shouldn't.

If we ran a 2WR set 1 TE with Bellore at FB and Charbo, set TE right and pull him behind the right tackle, running between the right gaurd and right tackle. Right tackle gets a kick out block on the DE then lead the TE and FB though the hole. One of them picks up the LBer and its off to the races. Charbo can run over a DB, if nothing else we gained 8 to 10 yards. I would of done this to the Rams in the second half.
If its 3 yards and a cloud of dust so be it. Just chew that clock up. Especially with our defense playing real stout. = Victory !
