Is the same one who said that DeAngelo Hall threatened to kill him.

Interesting.

Remember that time in October when DeAngelo Hall was ejected from the Redskins-Steelers game after ‘verbally berating an official’ and reportedly threatening his life? Well it appears as if the official in question, head linesman Dana McKenzie, and Hall are due for another encounter. According to Football Zebras, a well respected blog source for current and relevant NFL officials information, McKenzie will be the head linesman for an even more high pressure game than before: Redskins vs Seahawks.

Will this affect DeAngelo Halls’ performance on the field come Sunday at 4:30 p.m.? Honestly, we’d prefer not to think the worst, but after witnessing what happened in October, it’s difficult to believe that their highly publicized squabble will be forgotten once they lock eyes once again. With so much on the line for Hall’s team, however, perhaps this time the exchange between the two will take place behind closed doors.

The incident, which occurred during the Redskins-Steelers game resulting in a Redskins loss 27-12 on October 28 was apparently instigated after Hall confronted McKenzie at the culmination of a play, proceeding to remove his helmet and use profanity. McKenzie ejected Hall. Later rumors spread that Hall had gone as far as to threaten the head linesman’s life. That moment in time was one of uncertainty for the Redskins when Hall endured a series of interviews to get to the bottom of the allegation reported by McKenzie. But when push came to shove, Hall continuously combatted ever saying those fearsome words to McKenzie.

According to Hall, the interviewing process he went through felt more “like an interrogation,” claiming that it was unfair.

“Any time you’ve got one person that’s the judge, jury and executioner — he makes the fine, then he hears the appeal, then he decides the amount — it’s just tough. It’s just tough,” said Hall.

Hall was fined $30,000.
