It may have to do with the fact that it was a blowout early, but the ratings were quite poor. Down 30% from Niners-Patriots and down 22% from the previous year. In future years, networks might not wanna show the seahawks because the games always end in blowouts. The good thing is that as far as I remember, almost all of the primetime games are at home except for one in Tampa in 08.

Also could have been the after taste of all that wonderful publicity (from all of the right camera angles) the media gave after the Packer game. People are still looking at us like it was our fault.

Both the blowout and the packers game. Many probably tuned in hoping to see us get beat but after a short time that obviously wasn't happening.
Does anyone know how our Thursday night rating was against the 9ers this year?

Guarantee the GB game had nothing to do with it. If anything it would make the game more appealing. Plus GB fans would have a rooting interest in this game.

None of the NE Teams were involved. No Brady, no Jets or Giants ... most people wouldn't even know where Seattle is on a map (Bulgaria??? )

Their games always end in blowouts? huh.

The Hawks other two prime time games were one possession games, and the GB game ended on a last second hail mary.

The poor ratings was all due to the game being over after the 1st quarter, which is typical, and not unique to the Hawks.

Weekends before Christmas are always rated low for normal TV shows and they always show re-runs. Everybody is out Christmas shopping or having family Christmas parties. I wouldn't put much stock in the ratings. The Hawks draw fine in national games that aren't right before Christmas.
