Mcquistan is awful, he whiffed on 3 consecutive plays on that drive to open the 2nd half, and whenever spikes was showing up 4 yards in the backfield it was when he blew right by mcquistan untouched

I don't even know where to start with this. Have you even watched our line wih Sweezy in there? Did you even watch what McQuistan was doing when Spikes came through the line? Our Yards per run was MUCH lower with Sweezy in, and McQuistan was busy blocking his man. How many guys do you expect one lineman to block anyway? There are two people primarily responsible for catching this blitzer. First, you have the QB, who when he sees this blitz coming, should change the play call (if we even allow it, I'm not sure if we even do)...second, Unger, the center, is responsible for calling out blocking responsibilities on the line. If he's not getting someone on Spikes, it's on him. McQuistan is a very good blocker in both pass and run protection. Calling for Sweezy to come in over McQuistan is absolutely idiotic IMO

Some of the plays are by design , the hole is opened for the back. The LB can shoot the gap and did. However if you can pass effectively it will bite you in the ass big time.
