This was their chance to re-sign Clint, clearly they have moved on from him.

Did he eat a baby or something? You had something great with him, stability, why not bring him back?

Someday the FO will disclose why it is they don't want Gresham here anymore, until then it will remain a mystery.

According to what little Gresh has revealed since he was cut, I can't imagine there was a personal issue. He was "advised" to stick around a while in Seattle after he was cut. Maybe that was in case the LS experiment went south, I dunno. Clearly he got tired of waiting and moved on. I just hate when we fix things that aren't broken. Maybe they were broken and we just didn't see it, who knows. I liked that guy though. He was consistent.

Maybe he gave the finger to someone while walking out the door?

Advised by who though? His agent and other outsiders who were thinking the Seahawks would know when to end their "experiment?"

There is more to this Gresham story then has been said publicly. It's sad they'd let a reliable veteran go for what we can only assume is minor off the field reasons.

I'm surprised they are not searching for someone to fill in for punt returns. I don't want to see Sherman fair catching punts each week in the playoffs. I'd rather they find someone who has a punt return pedigree. Heck, Devin Hester is available. Field position can be an important factor for a struggling and inconsistent offense.

Agree 100%.
With the current state of the offense why not bring in a hired gun to the return game.
Ton of sense......

Yep or CJ Spiller. Can fill in at RB as well. Guessing they might give the new kid McKissick a shot.

The odd thing is, it wouldn't have cost us a cent in money, or salary cap, to bring Gresh in just for the playoffs and hold off on an evaluation of Ott until next season.

The only caveat to that I can think of is if Gresh suffered a career ending injury during the playoffs. Depending on the contract they signed, we could be on the hook for money and cap space next year. However, since he is a free agent right now, we should be able to structure the contract so that it only runs through the end of the season.

I'm stunned that they don't care enough about the kicking game to bring in a vet who is already familiar with the system and with Ryan/Hauschka.

Who other than I thinks this may cost us in the playoffs? Choose Ott who we barely know over Gresham that proved to be very consistent for us?
