In the pursuit of trying to determine what is currently wrong with our Seahawks - much of the conversation has centered around the idea that certain players have been paid or have had life situations (family) change and ultimately affect their drive and commitment to the game (passion, commitment to the team, dedication to preparation, etc.)

We've also heard Wilson say he'd like to be one of the best (if not the best) QBs to ever play the game. No we are talking about the legacy to the game, the impact they would have on the game, and possibly how fans will see them forever in the context of the game. At some point these greats/legends of the game - made a decision that they would be driven by something beyond financial security, or changes in their life situations, to continue to progress and remain committed and passionate about the game they played in order to achieve greatness.

What current Hawks (if any) do you think have the greatest potential to overcome the tendencies to become complacent /less passionate/less driven...and truly become one of the greatest at their position - and ultimately help the Hawks be great beyond the challenges of the present?

Wilson, Baldwin, Thomas, Wagner, Bennett, Avril, Sweezy.

Want to be great for their own reasons, Lynch, Kam, Lynch for his charitys, Kam well we seen for himself this season. Nothing wrong with that but it's not on the team concept for greatness as a team when your first. Sherman, he had a hunger, I don't know whats different, but he isn't the same type of player after the Bronco game. Actually thinking he has a physical problem nmaybe that hip that has changed him in some way.

Before we get a big head of steam rolling.

The marginal differences in effort given might be a factor in our current competitiveness but it's waiting in a long line behind obvious problems with the team, top to bottom.

Despite what we like to think, effort isn't the biggest factor in success.
