This is an interesting topic for thought. Honestly, when I think of a "mount rushmore" type status for Seahawks players, I think of the Hall of Fame. If they couldn't get into the Hall of Fame, then they probably wouldn't make the mountain. With that said, I think I'd have to leave that fourth slot open for now, but rest assured that someone from this team will fill that void.

Jack Patera, Chuck Knox, Mike Holmgren, Pete Carroll. Or at least a tattoo.

I think I've changed my mind. I was only thinking of players before, but I think that 4th slot HAS to go to Paul Allen.

There are so many players from the Carroll Era who will also be deserving of recognition when they retire: Marshawn, Sherman, Thomas, Chancellor, Wilson, etc. But none of them likely would be Seahawks, or would have won a Super Bowl together, without Carroll. NFL record 64-straight games without losing by double digits . . . are you kidding me?

I'm fine with that as long as they realize that in about a decade they will need to reengineer Alexander into Russell Wilson.

In 10 years we may very well need to construct an entirely new Rushmore.

Seahawks don't really have that great of a history. Hard to really put 4 guys in there. Walter, Cortez and Largent all deserve to be there, I'd probably leave the 4th spot open. I'd guess either Wilson, Sherman or Lynch will occupy that spot about 10 years from now.

Lynch, Russ, Sherm and Earl may warrant their own mountain when this is all said and done.

I haven't looked at the posted article, but off the top of my head I'd go Jones, Largent and Easley without even thinking.

The 4th is more interesting and based on skill and noteriety, I'd probably go with Sherman.

This was my thinking also. Easley over Alexander. I like Alexander but for me it is easily Easley.
