I know that he isn't going to the probowl, because he has better things to do, but Matthew stafford is the 4th alternate, Russell was the 3rd, but so far no mention of him being a 3 time pro bowler?

Yes, that is what i meant by having better things to do. But their are usually salary escalators from the league and possibly in his contract for the honor of being named to the pro bowl. There should be an announcement saying he made the probowl and will be unable to attend do to being in the SB49, but no word from the league, media, or the Internet, seems strange.
