My issue with Graham is that he's "soft" for NFL standards. Now I know it takes extreme courage and guts to play the game, so I'm not calling him soft in general. Just in terms on how NFL players play and to their standard.
When you have someone at his status, when the going gets tough you look at players like that to carry you. Like Marshawn did and Russ does. You know that no matter how bad the day gets, they got that fight in them that gives you hope. With Graham the feeling is always like if things aren't going right, the day is done. I think that permeates into the locker room more then we think. The year we won the Super Bowl we had personalities like Red Bryant, Chris Clemons, Marshawn, Breno, Okung, Sweezy, etc. Personalities that you know If you're in a dark alley and you are about to get jumped, you're not afraid. With Graham, it feels like he'd be the first one to run.
For that reason, I don't think he's worth the money we will pay him if he stays. Replacing his TD's won't be hard because Russ will be able to spread the ball around and I'm sure we will find some other talents like we always have.
I wonder if anyone else feels this way.
