I’m not sure what’s up with sports media and their ignorance towards Seattle sports?

That just means the money is all going to the Rams and they need to move the line to keep from taking a gigantic loss.

The line is designed to get half of the total money on each side so the house is guaranteed to win.

Vegas realizes who our QB is. Plus we usually struggle against the rams as a whole.

Sports media has absolutely nothing to do with setting odds or point spreads on any sporting events.
It's funny how often this has to be repeated. The line would look more favorable if Pete would stop letting McVay bitch slap him around

The sports media doesn't set the betting lines. That's done by the bookies at sports books, who look at betting activity in previous games and try to anticipate how the bets will come in then adjust the line accordingly.

Yep. I was kinda surprised as well, but it was trending that way.

In a way the sports media can influence betting lines.
In this instance the bookies looked at the sports books and betting activity in previous games and made us 1 point favorites.
Then a lot of the the sports media favored the Rams and a lot of bets came in for the Rams.
The later caused the lines to shift making us the underdogs. It can not be proved but is very likely that the sports media picking the rams is what led to a lot of bets going their way.

This line makes perfect sense regardless of where the money is. The game is on the road and they embarrassed us this year already. They consistently have our number. They are rightful favorites. Go Hawks

SEAHAWKS AT RAMS

Spread: Rams +1

Total: 46

The Los Angeles Rams annihilated the Seahawks Seahawks 30-13 on opening day. This week, Matthew Stafford is expected to return to action, which makes this a relative coin-flip game between NFC West rivals. Seattle has won three of its past five, but it is a few bounces away from being 1-4 during that stretch. Geno Smith was productive last week, but he’s been very inconsistent in recent weeks.

The Seahawks’ schedule after this matchup is brutal, making this close to a must-win game. Seattle has a better roster than the Rams in virtually every area but quarterback. If Smith plays well, the Seahawks likely win this game. If Smith continues to be inconsistent, the Rams could sweep Seattle this season.

Score Prediction: Rams 23, Seahawks 20
