Rams loss to the Jets?

Jets @ Rams went a long way towards me getting over the Giants loss.

Our team is back in control of their chance to win the division.

I thought the Giants loss was bad and it was, but the Rams loss to the Jets is much worse.

Yeah, losing to the 0-13 Jets is more embarrasing, TBS. Giants at least have a solid D and a solid running game.

Jets are playing for pride. We didn't let them have any, the Lambs did. :229031_shrug:

These kinds of upsets happen every year in the NFL to good teams. The gap between most NFL teams is a good QB and decent coaching. Both of those variables can elevate for one game, so it drives me nuts when people have complete melt downs on here

Both teams are awful and are likely to overturn 80+% of their roster over the next few years, but the Jets are horrendously coached and have basically nothing going for them except a promising LT and a breakout DT, the latter of whom sat out the fourth quarter with an injury.

Losing to the Jets has to be more embarrassing. The silver lining, if there could even be one and if it came down to it, is that at least it wasn't a loss to a conference opponent.

Or maybe the Rams not only overlooked an opponent (something the Hawks get accused of on a regular basis) or the they are just not the amazing unbeatable team so many make them out to be?

Losing to the Jets is far worse

I predicted the wheels would fall off as the Rams closed out the season.

Maybe I was right. Maybe not.

I also predicted the Cards would be our competition for the NFCW crown.

I stand by that prediction, although the Rams held it together longer than I thought they would

They will enter the playoffs on a 3 game skid, and travel to NO for the first round, while we will be hosting the Cards.

There were rumors that Quinnen Williams was on the trading block earlier this year.

Hard to watch that game and not wonder what our Hawks would have looked like with him on it.

My god. He looked better than Donald for much of that game.

The Giants loss was bad but honestly, we were going to lose to one of those 3 teams in the stretch. I thought it would be Washington or the Jets but once we lost to the Giants you knew we would win the NY and Washington games.

Pete is always good for :

1 - One win nobody expected against an opponent that most people thought would beat us

2 - One head-scratcher loss against a team that nobody thought would beat us.

They both cancel out so it is difficult to be that upset about those losses when you remember we usually had an earlier win few expected.

The Jets game was a worse loss.

(But Quinnen and Maye both look like players on that Jets team.)

Both losses were embarrassing. After the loss to the Giants, people were trying to defend them and talk them up as to how they were legit with that defense and all, but newsflash, they havent won since. They are not a good team. It was purely a game the Seahawks werent prepared for and was looking past. Same happened to the Rams yesterday. When you are fighting for the division and a possible better seeding, lapses like that shouldnt and cant happen.

They have only played 2 games since. LOL And both were against very good teams. No excuse for the loss, and I'm not saying the Giants are a potent team, but it's not like they have lost 6 in a row or something

Just for clarification, my post is about making fun of the Rams for losing to the Jets.

Didnt mean to knock you, more the rest of the replies

A lot of "any given sunday" and things happen. Complete opposite of what was going on in here last week.

I expected to see everyone in here clowning the Rams and saying the Jets loss is 10 times a worse loss.

Instead I've seen all over this forum about how the Giants are also a very trash team, almost like some people are trying to say they arent much better than the jets, who are winless when the Giants were fighting for a division lead.

Makes no sense to me. :roll:
