The other "Difference" that you left out, is that the Patriots still have the nucleus of O-Linemen that can and does mentor those newbies that as you pointed out, came out of College with a whole lot more familiarity with what's going on.
It takes a LOT longer than 6 or 7 games to "Get It".
It's called Continuity, and these guys are getting better, but they're not there ...YET.

Dallas has had a good OL for several years now. It will be interesting to compare the two this Sunday. It might well be the difference in the game.

I don't understand this statement.

If you watched the Patriots Jets game Sunday they showed a graph of starts for their lineman. Only Vollmer had more than a handful of game experience due to injuries, specifically Nate Solder.

Yet they still pass protected like bosses for 60 pass plays allowing Brady to carve up the Jets very good defense, especially in the 4th quarter.

Mentor? Isn't that what Cable's for? We have Sweezy and Okung, two supposed veterans as well.

So sorry, I don't get the mentoring thing. This is not a mentoring issue, it's a talent and lack of experience issue.

Brady gets the ball out of his hand quickly. Something Russ hasn't gotten yet.

This.

You can make up for a lack of talent or experience at Oline when you've got a QB who gets the ball out quickly and knows every in & out of their offense. Guys like Brady and Manning have consistently had offensive lines ranked among the top of the league no matter who they put on the field.

1997 (before Manning): Colts - 62 sacks
1998 (after Manning): Colts - 22 sacks
1999 (year 2): Colts - 14 sacks

It's not always experience, but the style of play that makes your offensive line look better or worse than it actually is.

And stats aren't always a tell all way to compare either. Why we don't do the vacated zone exploitation is beyond me. It isn't Wilson, it is the jacket Pete put's on him.

And this should be the takeaway, not that Brady et al only throw 3 step drop daggers and they're nigh unbeatable. They are, we've seen it.
