This is politicking by Wilson. He was threatened by Pryor so Carroll had to release TP. Unreal.

Care to enlighten us more as to how Wilson could possibly be threatened by Pryor? Somehow think someone must be smoking some Sammamish sensimilia to come up with this theoretical nonsense.

Pryor is simply an uber athlete who is a very undeveloped QB who has accuracy issues and an inability to see the field beyond a first read. When on the move which is far too often he's even more challenged with accuracy than when in the pocket but even then he's not very accurate and makes poor passing choices hangs out his receivers or throws behind them if hew just doesn't simply miss altogether. The exceptional athleticism was worth having a look at but Pryor needs to go play football in the CFl or at least go to passing camp b/c his basic skills as a QB are lacking. BJ Daniels is a better developmental QB than Pryor b/c he actually has talents as a QB. Interesting potential but lacking in ability to execute. Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane.

Jackson had a bad couple of games. He did seem like he was on cruise control, but I feel more confident in him than most any other backup we could have.
It should be obvious to most here, that if Jackson were already a lock as Wilson's backup, Why did Pete trade away a 7th round draft pick bother trying out TP, or BJ Daniels to replace him.
Looks to me like the hunt for his replacement is ongoing.

Ryan Mallett is considered one of the best backups in the league and yet the Patriots burned a second round pick on yet another QB. Last year, the Eagles took Matt Barkely despite having Nick Foles as their primary backup.

Teams add QBs to the roster because A) they need at least 4 arms in camp to avoid burnout and B) it's an important position and you need to continually look at all the options.

The very fact that they brought 4 QBs into camp says nothing about TJack. Every single NFL team brings in 4-5 QBs and often spends draft capital to do so. You're using basic NFL conventions to spin an anti-TJ narrative.
