The trade of Wilson and the release of Bobby showed this team has going completely rebuild mode. We will try to remain competitive while we do so but we will have some serious growing pains along the way. This year we put a lot of resources in our offense which has us with two rookie book ends. A new young TE to add to the mix and a high second round at RB. Combine that to Metcalf which is still young and in his prime Dissly and Lockett
The rebuild of the defense is going to take some time. We are extremely young and inexperienced at CB but this is a great opportunity for them to learn their craft and grow. The front seven needs a lot of work but we do have two first rounders and two second rounders in the next draft. Never mind more freedom with the cap space.
This season will be about being able to compete, learn and grow. It is a development year. If done correctly we will be much better next year. If done incorrectly, heads will roll
