Surprised to see the poll so lopsided in favor of The Tip.
Both were great plays. But the sheer improbability of yesterday's comeback puts Kearse's touchdown on top for me. To see what a terrible game he had up to that point, and the tears that flowed when the reality of the situation hit him after making the biggest catch in team history was one of the greatest moments in Seahawks history. Then, to see Russell's post game interview... I lost my dad in 2013, and he is my best friend, so I felt like I knew the source of those tears and it was confirmed in his press conference an hour later... On perhaps his toughest day as a pro, and a game where the naysayers were pointing their finger at him and puffing out their chest - and to come back, with ice water in his veins, and make that throw to cap one of the greatest comebacks in playoff history? I mean last year's game was awesome, but I see the match up of Sherman vs. Kaepernick/Crabtree and you know who wins that one 10 out of 10 times... But for the Seahawks to be down 19-7 with minutes left and to pull that off? On a play like that?
That play was the biggest kick to the junk that could ever be delivered to the rapidly growing bandwagon of Seahawks haters. Russell and Jermaine both struggled, but in the biggest moment of the season, they were absolutely perfect.
Yesterday gets the nod from me. Cementing greatness. I don't know how it gets much better than that.
