The 49ers haven't won in long enough that you'll meet teenage/early 20s fans that feel that way. They feel like the last three years were torture. We joke about how long ago those Lombardis were for SF, but some of their younger fans do sound like we did before last Sunday, and understandably so.

I prefer to think of it as Harbaugh vs Carroll. NFL 1 to 0, college 2 to 0.

History is great and when our franchise is 75 years old I hope we have multiple super bowl trophies but right now we are pretty on par with the 9ers at a similar age. I'm ok with that.
