I have no problem going in trying to establish the run early. The Oline was having a rough go f it but Wilson could have changed the game if he would have kept it on the ZR earlier.Pete was shown telling him to keep it and he wouldnt do it.

GBs intensity was obvious early. They wanted it bad.

The D came to play. A few breakdowns and too many stupid penalties cost them in the 1st half.In fact a few plays here and there in the 1st half changed it completely.

As far as Harvin and Graham. There are reasons the other team wanted to get rid of them.

Hopefully they get it together cause the play calling 80% of the game was pathetic. We need a OC who is creative. What Bevell is calling are plays my 6 year old son would call in Madden. If Pete keeps him another year I would be ok with Pete leaving then. I can't believe the plays that are being called. Time for change!!!!! I bet Bevell would not get a job in the NFL if he was fired. But Pete loves him and it is going to hurt Carroll's legacy as a coach.

We are going to be in the hunt. But if our offense plays like this all year and we are 8-8 then Pete has to get rid of Bevell. So I would take a year of crap to have a brighter future with this team.

I am more in the middle of this discussion. Sky isn't falling yet, but based on play Hawks are clear not the best in the NFC. Hopefully that changes but maybe third with GB on top.

Lol no. What team have you watched the past 2 weeks?

This is the correct answer. We let Nick Foles (who got dominated by the dreaded Redskins today) own us. Then we turn around and let a back up RB rush for almost 100 yrds on us? This D has serious issues. I can forgive allowing Rodgers to light us up...but allowing a guy named James Starks to average almost 5 yrds a carry? Let's be real.

Lets see where we are in a few weeks.

Too many variables for intelligent fans, fans who have perspective...fans who watched this team for two week spurts last year.....to be making these type of declarations.

We would be 2-0 with the Cardinals schedule. Sometimes, its all about timing.
Would of should of maybe almost etc....
We are 0-2 that's what we are !
Man if we lose this next game Cant wait to read all the "intelligent" fans posts.

Some Seahawk fans have been watching the NFL for many years and understand its a 16 game season.

Sounds like you are almost excited at the prospect of a loss next week. Interesting.

We were the better team on that field today. If not for the 2 damn free plays and fluke long run, we take that game. We are just overcoming the bastard kam chancellors diaturbance

But that's part of the game. Rodgers has the best hard count in the NFL and he exploited Bennett's aggressiveness. He gets a handful of free plays at Lambeau in every game. Heck he even got a couple at the CLink. He's just that good with the hard count. That long run was not a fluke. Starks was effective for most of the game. Seattle was outplayed for most of the game. They had a good couple drives where they caught Green Bay off guard with the read option. Other than that they didn't do much. Rodgers was 9-9 passing in the 4th quarter. None of that had to do with free plays.

We had the lead in the 4th quarter on the road.

Green Bay deserved to win, but lets not pretend they are suddenly light years better than Seattle because of what we saw last night.

Still the best two teams in the NFC until proven otherwise.

Right now we're probably the 10th best team in the league.

The ceiling is high but we're not executing to our ability. For some reason, we always start slow and only really seem to play well in the second half and we also start the season slow it seems so until that changes, we're above average at best. Lots of reasons for that.

Maybe, but its too early to tell.

Not many other teams have had to play two tough games on the road to open the season.

Winning on the road in the NFL is hard.

We lost tough games on the road last year and were still the best team in the NFC.

Let it play out.

Reality is that there is upside all over the roster.

No Tharold Simon, coverage is better.....Burley played strong last night.....team gets Lane back by the end of the season....Shead earned his contract over a Jeron Johnson last year and played well last night.

Mathews earned some snaps as a big target in middle of field, helped Russell as a target that doesn't need to be pinpoint accurate.

Graham has not been focused on, but teams are still bracketing him in coverage because they have to.....that opens up plays to Fred Jackson, two catches, one fumble.....Baldwin's route was set up because of Graham being set up left.

Nowak got worked, but will get better.....the same way Green Bay's OL got dominated in the season opener, they got better as the season went on and Seattle's line will get better....

The team needs to trust Rawls the way they trusted Turbin on the read option......that will come with timing because I don't see Lynch being productive at 50+ snaps a game...Rawls will need to step forward without Turbin and Michaels.....

Less snaps for Kearse and Lockett on the crossing route was excellent and safe.

I would have loved to seen Lockett running under the pass that Wilson overthrew Baldwin on, it's a touchdown with the match up in a better game.....Lockett is being brought along slowly, but has skills.

Green Bay's upside is Davante Adams at WR, getting James Jones and their OL gelling and getting better. I am not sure they know how to defend the read option, but it took a full 2 quarters for Russ to keep the ball, but in a playoff game, everything will be magnified.

I don't see 4 offsides penalties aiding Green Bay the next time we play them and this is a marathon, not a sprint.....this team is being "paced" by Pete Carroll to get through the season healthy. Seattle isn't playing at a break bones at all cost in Week 2.....looks like San Diego and KC last year. When the seasons change, Seattle will be clicking much better.

Health is what wins in this league and that goal has been accomplished. Green Bay was on their heels and we let them off the hook. Players like Frank Clark will be fresh in December.

Lots ot be positive about, we played OK and are in the game.

It's be honest Monday, guys.

Lets recap.

Currently, the Seahawks sit at the very bottom of the nfl standings. That much is a fact. The season is not over....also a fact.

The defense is giving up 29ppg. Without Kam, the defense has gone to a predominantly cover 1 scheme where everyone is in man coverage except Earl. It's much more simplified and it shows. With the defense not allowing 13 to 15ppg the offense is going to have to put up a lot of points every game, which is something it has never done and isn't designed to do.

Can that happen? Can the defense improve enough? Even down to 20ppg without Kam? It's not yet written so we'll see....

What leads you to believe the defense will continue to give up 29 points per game?

We gave up 30 to San Diego last year and then 28 to St. Louis (a 29 pt average for you math majors out there)

Did we average 29 points per game as a defense for the year?

Lets let it play out and see what happens when the schedule evens out, shall we?

Green Bay has upside all over its roster. It's the youngest team in the league:
Running back: Eddie Lacy will eventually be back.
WR: Cobb and Adams will eventually get healthy
TE: Second year TE RIchard Rodgers gets better every week.
OLINE: Bulaga, our best lineman will be back in October.
DT: Our best run defender Guillion will be back in two weeks
ILB: It's only a matter of time before rookie Jake Ryan cracks the lineup.. Played very well in the pre season.
CB: Lot's of talented youth and a lot to be excited about from this group.
Safety: Second year man Ha Ha Clinton Dix gets better each week.
