You can't get game experience, if you don't play in games. This is why Pre-season games were better playing 4 and less games in the season. The learning doesn't happen without full contact practice, or practice games.

Geno had the highest qbr in the nfl last week.... lock threw the ball away after running three yards past the line of scrimmage with open field ahead
