Very surprised not to see a post regarding today's softball game.

Little recap:

The wife and I went and were sitting four rows up directly behind home plate. All the seating was general admission hence the reason why people started lining up at 8am. Glad we got there when we did at about 9:45 gates didn't even open until noon by noon the line wrapped all the way around Cheney field. Could have got some autographs but wasn't in the mood to fight the crowd but managed to get the Trufant brothers after the game and the wife wanted Sherman's mom autograph so I said ok.

The home run contest was just about as exciting as the game was, and as far as I know no injuries occured. It was great to see the team off the field and to see how close knit they were. They had Easley (REF that called the tate play in MNF) ump at 1st base of course the calls didn't always go the way they should have:) One play Russell didn't agree and charged first base and kicked dirt, threw the hat and threw the base reminded me of the Lou Pinela days.

All in all a very entertaining day at the ball field.

GO HAWKS!

I was surprised nobody posted about it either... sounds awesome, wish I was there. Speaking of - was hoping to see a reply on TV at some point - Did you notice if it was being recorded?

Aaron Levine from Q13 tweeted he was going to have some video on the game and interviews. Seattle Times had a few interviews of players prior to the game and from the dinner the night before. I have seen a few vineo/vine posts by Sidney and others. I understand the Seahawks are going to posts the ones they took and the Facebook acct for Richard Sherman has a bunch of photos.

I was in the row behind home plate and loved the shenanigans. Our QB and Savior Russell Wilson looked the part of a coach, player and a "bro". He did a pinch hit AB in the last inning and cracked a double...it was electric every time he picked up the bat. Like mid 90s Griffey. When he scored he ran by high fiving everyone in the front row. Yep, I touched Russell Wilson. =D

He also hit a couple dingers in the derby, including one off the shed past left field IIRC.

The star of the day was Golden Tate. He had "Golden" Glove calibre defensive play and a couple dingers. ET ripped up the home run derby.

Also surprised no one posted this sooner. The game was announced thru Sherm's twitter account, so you wouldn't know about this unless you follow Sherm.

I saw highlights on JoeTV and the biggest surprise was a high-profile non Hawk who joined the fum.....Larry Fitzgerald!

Sounds like a great event....perhaps they should hold it at a bigger venue. next year...The Safe?

Yeah, TO had a really good game, could have been the MVP instead of Tate IMO, decent pitching and good day hitting. I think that picture is right before Russell went Pinella at 1st base. My favorite part was probably the fake brawl after Doug Baldwin leaned into a pitch from TO (pitched for Team Wilson) and got hit on the foot and fake charged the mound.

I'm going to be sad when the first member of the current Legion of Boom retires or goes to another team. Man, I love these guys.

Any other .netters attend? Seahawks.com has not posted pics yet.
There was a brief mention of the game on NFL network. Funny how they still spend time covering the Hernandez situation but only do
a brief mention of something positive. The media just sucks.
