This is actually a huge red flag for me, and just shows how desperate we are right now for CB help with Earl and Shead's serious injuries up in the air.

Cox was cut by Tennessee mid season and no one picked him up for the rest of the year..........in a league that's dying for CB's? Not good.

Cox had some off the field stuff, but we also had a stacked young secondary. Cox played above average to decent, but I think it was the good young defense that had more potential so he was the final cut and the off field stuff was what finally pushed him out the door.

If he plays like he did at Tennessee, we'll be fine and this is a solid signing. He's already better than Lane in the slot, at least last year's version of Lane. He's also a much better tackler.

He went back to the 49ers I thought and was starting shortly after for them.
