26.6 per game, which would be the most of the Pete Carroll Era.

The franchise record for scoring is 28.2 points per game, set during the 2005 Super Bowl season. To set a new franchise scoring record, this year’s team would need to score an average of 33.3 points in their final four games.

All while being the only team in the league who has more rushing attempts than passing attempts. Pretty impressive.
It would be interesting to see total time of possession thru 12 games last year vs. this year.

Really? That's surprising to me. But then again, the D has been getting shredded a lot thru the year w/the bend don't break thing. Figured it would be more on the Hawks side.

Yeah, defense has been a problem between the 20s. Seahawks actually lost the time of possession battle to the 49ers, despite rushing for 168 yards and winning, 43-16. Getting Kendricks back will help.

That is actually a massive difference. 14th in the NFL this year, 24th last year.

Yes and we lost it in this win too. 32.30 to 27.30. D between the 20's is giving up way too much. Inside the 20 they stiffen up which is good, but winning 43-16 and losing time of possession, first downs, and total yards games yesterday (by a lot) shows our reliance on turnovers and holding in the red zone. Problem I see is that usually doesn't stand the test of time over a long period.

That’s a good point.

On the other hand, they are the #1 rushing team in the NFL, averaging 149 yards on the ground per game.

They were trending toward the Top 5 in time of possession, but the defense has let them down a bit lately, especially since the Kendricks suspension.

Fun fact; that 2005 team ALSO ran more than it passed. Shaun Alexander won MVP that year.

That makes no difference Tabs, thats ancient history, this is a passing league now or didn't you know that. :p

Nobody wants to see teams run the ball, RB's are a dime a dozen and will be phased out in the near future :)

Or so we all have been told by many experts here. lol
