This is my first post on this site and this thread is forcing me to stop simply reading about my Hawks and respond. Monday night was the first game I have been to in years. I was shocked by the amount of security, every ten feet was a security guard, police officer, usher, etc.
I actually sat relatively close to your wife as I was in 210 L. This report is very difficult to swallow as it is in the club section with tickets that cost $290 at face value. You must show your tickets to enter this area and the area is the dare I say it...yuppyville. Lots of corporate season ticket holders and very different from the main stadium. Private seating with large televisions where you can stay warm and watch from inside, lol. I went to the restroom in the first quarter- no line, went and got a mixed drink and a latte at the Starbucks in the 2nd quarter no line, my hubby went to the restroom 2 minutes before half and he said a line finally formed on his way out. I went to the restroom in the 3 rd and again no line. Their was a security guard stationed in the hall each time I went. I question this attack happening and would love to see a pic of the tix.
That said, I did have an obnoxious fan sitting a couple of rows behind me. I was amazed at how fast Seahawk fans in the rows around him shut him down. He was not swearing just being stupid drunk. He was basically told to get it under control or he would be leaving the stadium. Security never had to get involved. It is made very clear that this type of behavior is not acceptable. We are loud, We are proud, but bad behavior is simply not okay.
On another note- I did get kicked in the face on the way out of the stadium. That stung a bit. An upside down wife, over her husbands shoulder running down the street laughing their heads off nailed me, lol. Quite funny when he tripped and fell a few feet in front of me and they tumbled. Happy drunks celebrating a Seahawks win. The humorous part was there friend apologizing for them and my hubby told them he remembered being young and dumb (he turns 50 tomorrow) and the lady blushed and told him yeah, the sad part is they were in their late 30's. Good times!
Final thought- I really do love this board.
