This game showed both teams defenses are very over-rated. You don't give up that many points for either team and call yourself a great defense. Average or mediocre, yes. But great....nope.

To an extent that's true. Both defenses benefit from having quality offenses. BUT, both defenses were also missing multiple key starters. The 49ers were missing three of their best players in Kwon, Ford and Tartt. The Saints were missing both starting linebackers.
