@AdamSchefter: Seattle's Russell Wilson awarded $222k pay-for-perf bonus from rookie perf pool - more than half his $405k base salary.

I believe these are based upon number of snaps, correct?

Now we won't be able to re-sign Richard Sherman or Earl Thomas .. .

Can we ask Russell to take a pay cut?

OK this is strange. I just started a topic about this yesterday

http://seahawks.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=66373

Articles were saying defernone for 2012 and deferred 2013........

maybe he is getting it but pays out in 2 years which would be the definition of deffered....

EDIT: Funny that my subject posted earlier got locked and this is based on a twitter........not like this should have been merged in but whatever guess we keep the discussion here.

Totally separate question - does this come out of the Seahawks cap or the league pays it out and it goes against the overall monies paid out to players?

Wilson's ppf bonus likely doesn't come out of the Hawks share of that pool.

It likely comes off the top.

It' nice for he and his family to have a more tangible reward for his somewhat astounding
rookie season than our profound thanks and best wishes.
