This is just nit picking. YOu can sit there all day and find little things the refs missed, but concentrating on something this minute is ridiculous. He would have left for a play then re-entered with knee pads. You can't concentrate on this tiny nothing of a circumstance. The bigger picture overall is that the refs were garbage. They are way different than they used to be. In the past, ie more than 3-5 years ago, you would rarely see a 15 yard penalty. When you would see it, it would be for an OBVIOUS call. Now you see them on every other play, at times for events which happen on EVERY SINGLE PLAY. Some of these hands to the face --especially the one which absolutely murdered a drive the Hawks had going, replaced a 25 yard run with a 15 yard loss and 1st and 25 from the HAwks end of the field --these happen on every single play. They are called, sometimes. They are not called, sometimes. This is a variable of luck. ON each and every play, you can get a 15 yard penalty --when it happens and to whom is mostly based on luck. Then you have the PI calls --again, they call things which happen on every single play. Sometimes they call it, sometimes they do not --variable of luck.
