It's the first game of the season
Especially the "Knee Jerk Reactions" of worthLESS fans.Kneejerk reactions need to go in the gameday forum IMO.
You guys are delusional. Pete is not going to be fired. The team won't tank, Pete has never won less then 7 games in Seattle even at the start with a basket case of thrown together players.AT
I'm totally happy to give another week uh oh Detroit in Detroit awesome. Please do your thing and hopefully we get Caleb and a couple other gamechangers that a coach without absolute actually knows that 2010 isn't 2023 and beyond for defense given the the new flag football rules. The only option on defense is pass rush end of discussion get off my lawn otherwise.
Just please crater for 2024/25 so we can give the new the ownership a real quick and something to turn us back into what we should be. 10 years of soft defense? When we sucked our defense was never this soft shitshow
You're getting blowback, because like Fade, & a couple other Pete h8ers--> Y'all just CAN'T QUIT WITH THE SNIVELING.This team has always struggled against the Rams. Mcvay is a much smarter coach that Pete.
It's a long season. This loss hurts however it should only come as a shock to those who haven't been paying attention.
All summer I've been voicing my concerns, however a few select posters/bullies on this site who are more interested in being argumentative rather than engaging in football discussion continued to disregard said concerns.
The interior middle of this D is soft. A select poster said he took exception to that, and of course was rewarded with several like and love reactions. The truth hurts. The middle of this D is still soft.
Clint Hurtt is a terrible coordinator. Always has been. Not sure why we were expecting change there.
I voiced my concern that Geno would regress. I was shot down on that. It doesn't help that both tackles got hurt, but he's a below average QB at best. Not sure why folks are so high on him.
All in all, it's a long season. But what transpired today was predictable.
Yeah, I know... Right? If you’d told me we’d lose both tackles by the 2nd half…
This is about what I’d expect. But yeah. Fire Pete. That’ll fix it.
Not in the last few yearsPete's teams do tend to improve as the season goes on.
Need an F'in' Cryin' Towel?I'm just snickering and hoping the current ownership and coaches get the **** out.
LOLOLOL, Some of these yayhoos have Sniveling down to a fine art....Lots o butt-slappin' between all the Pete Haters in here, but I really didn't expect any less, as they had a stiff Hateon for Pete & Co. long before the first snap of the ball....I just consider the source, and chuckle. You guys are delusional. Pete is not going to be fired. The team won't tank, Pete has never won less then 7 games in Seattle even at the start with a basket case of thrown together players.
So just stop with all the hate and hyperbole. If you don't like the team and direction then find an organisation you do like and follow them.
But all the hand wringing on .net is not going to get you what you want.
This post is not directed only at you, it is for all the pitts fades etc etc who think screaming about Pete or Geno or whoever is some how going to change things!!!
Made the gotdamned Playoffs, while the Denver Wilsons only won FIVE games, so there is that as an example of your MISTAKEN evaluation of Pete Carroll's Coached up Seahawks, eh?Not in the last few years
What if we win 4 or 5 out of our next 6 games and are 4-3 or even 5-2? Will you change your tune? With a real young team, those wouldn't be bad records with a lot to improve upon. For those of you saying it's just one game. It's one thing to lose to a division rival but it's a whole another thing when the entire team looks like shit. They got their asses handed to them so easily. The Rams looked 10x better than us. Also, not one player looked pissed off that they lost like this and they want to call themselves LOB V2? I guess we got so used to being a mediocre team over the past 4 or 5 years that losing badly is just fine and dandy. I highly doubt we'll be ready for the lions.
And where there's Playoffs, there is still hope.Much as I'm tired of being at best one and done in playoffs, I don't love the idea of a new regime and the YEARS of losing and rebuilding ahead. Pete's probably never going to get us much further, but a new coach, well could be MANY years before we even see another playoff game.
Check your reading comprehension next time before you post a reply. Now please go ahead, tell me how they improved as the season progressed last year......Made the gotdamned Playoffs, while the Denver Wilsons only won FIVE games, so there is that as an example of your MISTAKEN evaluation of Pete Carroll's Coached up Seahawks, eh?
It depends if we were competitive in all our games and were 4 -3. If we get our assess kicked in 2 more games to get to 4-3 then I'll consider this season a mediocre at best. What if we win 4 or 5 out of our next 6 games and are 4-3 or even 5-2? Will you change your tune? With a real young team, those wouldn't be bad records with a lot to improve upon.
That's the core issue the fact is there will be no changes until the team is sold and the earliest that can happen is in 2024 but it may go to 2025. Because of this both Jody, Pete and John seem to be checked out and on auto pilot.Pete isn't getting fired anytime soon. He's certainly not getting fired during the season.
Unfortunately that won't stop this forum from being littered with pointless "FIRE PETE!" threads all season long.
I never once said it was solely on him. The list is very long.Of course he gets some of the blame. But you can't blame that loss solely on him . I blame that loss on the entire coaching staff.
