It's the only way to get him on the roster from another team's PS. After 3 weeks on the active 53, we can always send him back down to PS, call up whoever to take his spot, and be that much stronger at offensive line because of this move.

I don't see what's odd about it. Okung to IR = roster spot opened. We are down to 8 lineman from 10 a couple weeks ago. Our own PS linemen aren't very good, it would be a stretch to think they were the best linemen available to sign anywhere.

I agree with Kearly, there is obvious reasons why this move was made, however being a 2nd team All Sun Belt player doesn't mean much especially at FIU. I go to in state rival FAU and I'm pretty sure we will beat FIU by 30 this year. Anyway I wish him the best hope he magically pans out into something awesome for us!
