Michigan has had a soft schedule. The next few weeks will be a good indicator.

I don't see any special & or unique traits that necessarily standout with him. One concern I have is that he is somewhat thin & not the biggest guy. He's listed at just over 200lbs. So will durability be an issue for him? Can he hold up over a long NFL season. Those are legit concerns.
They are playing right now against Penn State without Harbaugh (which my phone tried to correct to Garbage funny enough) so that'll be interesting.

Yeah, Michigan has such a dominate run game that he's just asked to manage the game for the most part.

That's what makes Penix so impressive.

Yeah, the Michigan QB does not seem all that impressive. Penn State's QB is even worse. Both teams have good defenses though.

They've run the ball every down lol. He's only attempted one pass this half. It's really something.

Drew Allar is terrible.

Neither have the same command that Penix has. Allar I'll give a pass to since he's 19. It's very different watching Big 10 teams after mostly watching PAC 12 games. Penix, Williams, and Nix are all significantly better QBs.

Yeah, but Pac 12 Defenses are not, not good at all. This was a crap game to judge McCarthy if this the 1st time u watched him? He don't throw the ball as much as Williams & Penix because he has a more complete team around him, and Michigan can run the ball. McCarthy has 21 td's & 3 int in 10 games those are not bad numbers, plus the guy can pick up a 1st down with his legs aswell?

Michigan has pretty much played a cupcake schedule this year. And it could be argued that the SEC trails the Pac 12 in defense, having only one team in the top 12 in defense, whereas the Pac 12 has three. When you really look at the stats, it's harder to make such generalizations.

The PAC 12 most definitely has good defenses. That's just silly to say they don't. If you want to make a point with me please do not use your gut or sensationalism to make a claim. What you should have said, is that the Big 10 has better defenses than the Pac 12 does. That is a true statement -- but the garbage you offered, is more noodle bowl worthy crap.

Here are the top 20 defenses in the NCAA this year so far. If Pac 12 defenses, are not good at all they most certainly would not have teams ranked at #9, #10, and #12 in the country now would they?

McCarthy has played no one, I say that because the strongest conference in college football is the Pac 12. If you wonder why Big 10 teams take up so many positions in top defense, it is because the conference this year, is not very good. They play against one another, you know, so when the competition isnt top shelf, the metrics will look great. Penix is the Heisman frontrunner and plays against Pac 12 teams.

Here is "mighty" Michigan's schedule:

East Carolina, UNLV, Bowling Green, Rutgers, Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan State, Purdue, Penn State, Maryland, Ohio State.

I highlighted the garbage teams in bold.

Here is the same schedule analysis for UW:

Boise State, Tulsa, Michigan State, California, Arizona, Oregon, Arizona State, Stanford, USC, Utah, Oregon State, Washington State

See the difference?
