There's something about Oakland this year, though. After several years of underperforming and letting other teams walk all over them, they seem to be trying to relinquish the role of the Washington Generals.

As if they do it on purpose, holding the M's dreadful offense over the heads of those who take the mound. Pitchers! We know all our batters suck, but we don't care, because we expect you all to pitch like a bunch of Cy Youngs and win anyway! (But don't win too much, we don't want to make the playoffs!)

That is one sorry, sad, pathetic lineup today.

And yeah, Rojas should be in the lead off spot in the lineup everyday regardless of matchup. He's earned it and he's the only guy on this team that's actually playing very, very well. If you're not sitting guys that absolutely suck, due to unfavorable matchups, you sure as hell shouldn't be sitting the guy that has been far and away your best player this season.

Welp, I guess that sad, sorry, pathetic lineup is doing pretty damn well so far, lol. 5 runs in just the 1st 2 innings.

if the Rockies hold on against Texas, Ms back in first place. The dream season continues on.

D-Mo with a nice seven game split.
Urias has a better WAR than France, Garver and Haniger.
JP and Canzone come back soon.

You guys.

Nice game. Dingers from Garver and Zavala and finally Julio, his first at home this year. Lot of good ABs by multiple guys. Good contact like last night, but not "at 'em" balls this time.

With the Royals coming to town, we'll need all of the guys to keep it up. They've been on a bit of a roll this month.

First in the division and 3 games over .500 is not a bad place to be Mid-May. Still need to see it in consecutive games.

The Mariners are 22-19 and in first place by half a game. After a 6-10 start, they have been 16-9, which, if sustained, will result in a pretty good season. But we know this isn't sustainable unless the offense becomes significantly better.

Waiting for players to get back to their old ways (Polanco, Garver, Haniger, Rodriguez, Crawford) is one way for the offense to get better but unfortunately that's an old song that we've been playing over the last few seasons, and we all know how that movie ends.

Nice to win another series. This team is bipolar AF. But, as bad as this offense has been, I'll take 3 games over .500 and 1st place. Not sorry.

And much of this has been w/out J.P. Sounds like he comes back this Friday.
