To all the 12s I appreciate your support. Wanted you to know I appealed the fine & won, but I’m still going to match all donations made at http://www.gofundme.com/626xk0 & donate it to a local Seattle charity. Thanks to Loren Summers for starting the site, we’ve talked & after the deadline, even if $50k isn't met & all contributions are given back, I'll donate the matched total # anyway. #12thman #Seahawks #BeastMode

Good deal. Marshawn is quiet, but he shouldn't be penalized for it. Plenty of other folks to go after, go do it NFL.

So glad he was able to win the appeal. $50k for not talking is complete bs.

Anybody know if the NFLPA has people on retainer for this or do the players have to spend $1,000/hr on attorneys to appeal these fines?

Glad he won. Players shouldn't have to talk if they don't want to.

And awesome of him to still match the money and donate it anyway.

Another stat Seattle probably leads the league in: appeals won. Its pretty rare, but the Hawks have won 2 in 2 years and Browner was offered a settlement (which he turned down).

I'm surprised he was able to win the appeal. Good work, Marshawn.

Willing to bet money that it was based on lack of warnings

Assuming the appeal goes through Roger, I'm not that shocked. He and Shawn have some history, and they both know that Marshawn has been working his tail off to be an upstanding employee/person. 50k was way too much for something as simple as interviews, I bet we hear from Lynch a little mofre than usual going forward.

Florio says he didn't win any appeal, it's merely a suspended fine.

LINK: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... is-appeal/

And to be fair, Florio is absolutely 100% spot on here...

So, basically, if Lynch deliberately disregards one more time a fair and reasonable policy aimed at ensuring players are available to reporters — who serve as the official liaisons to the fans — then Lynch will lose $100,000.

And then the fans, who are the intended beneficiaries of the league’s media policies, can try to offset the six-figure fine by raising money for a guy who made $7 million in salary this season.
