Love the look on the guy's face after the catch.

You have to give the young man a break. He probably is at that age where he needs to be cool. You know, to get attention from the young women out there. That is why he looks around. That or he is wondering if he can keep the ball or not.

He probably had no idea where the ball came from or even that it was a game ball. I thought it was weird at first, too, but you'll notice that no one around him moved either. Pretty sure people would be standing and wrestling for the ball if they knew Marshawn had lofted one in there.

We have the luxury of seeing the TV camera zoomed right up on Marshawn throwing it. At the stadium, who keeps their eyes on the player who scores...all the way up until the next play?

Everyone was probably talking and waiting for play to resume. Of course they aren't going to see Marshawn throw it, especially from that far away!

The guy is confused because this random ball lands in his lap. Not because he doesn't care about the Seahawks. Your first reaction would be to wonder who around you threw a ball in your lap if you had no idea where it came from.

He better appreciate it. The last one to do that was fined over $5000.

In 2009, running back Steven Jackson was fined $5,000 for throwing a ball into the stands, while still with the St. Louis Rams. Earlier this season, Dallas Cowboys safety Barry Church was fined $5,250 for throwing a football into the stands following his first touchdown. His fine was eventually reduced by $2,000 though.

Give the kid a break, he was probably looking around to see if security was going to come take the ball away. Cause you know, the Clink ushers are so well mannered and reasonable. Not.

seriously though, are we so starved to critique something that we're gonna focus in on this kid? This kind of scrutiny is probably the reason his initial action was to be reserved.

Lets see how everyone here reacts when they suddenly feel like they are the focus of 68,000 screaming fans even if they probably aren't - you know it still feels that way in that moment.

How about the hose that Marshawn has?...I don't think he gets enough credit for the athlete he is. I've seen him do a few things that make you go "heh? Did I just see that right?"

And the kid that caught the ball may or may not be a Pod Person. Keaunu Reeves from The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Well all the usual doomsayers haven't really had much to fret about the last few weeks. It was either tear this to shreds or critique Pete's decision to wear khakis yet again! Seriously, does the man simply not own any track pants!?

Exactly. He obviously had no idea where the ball came from. Assuming he held on to it I bet he's stoked out of his mind about it now.

Awesome of Marshawn to do that. But at the same time, he's lucky he didn't knock out some little old lady who wasn't paying attention to a football flying into the crowd.
