it was pretty bad. what made it worse was when hunt pushed that guy into her, and she hit her head on that corner.

the thing is, these nfl players should avoid getting drunk. also, they need to be thinking 'de-escalate' when out partying.

the thing is probably, 1) not go out and 2) not get drunk.

there's too much at stake during a short nfl career, to be risking it for a party with strangers in a hotel room.

live and learn though.

This story is about Hunt, the release and the impact on the Chiefs. Its not even a domestic violence incident

Stay on topic.

Sucks for Hunt but the Chiefs might be playing with fire from here on out.

I’m not defending Hunt or anything but after actually reviewing the video I’d say Santa kicked Ralphie down the slide harder than Hunt “kicked” that woman. It was more of a slight. It looked as if she did everything she could to provoke him but like Chris Rock said,” there are reasons to hit a woman but YOU JUST DON’T DO IT!”

This isn't DV. At all.

All he did was do a Joe Mixon. I don't even understand the hysteria much less why the Chiefs would get rid of a young very good player just because he went a little too far after being accosted.

Not sure why this one matters so much other than he is an NFL player.

The Chiefs are crazy for getting rid of him though. The RB is there to score TDs and help you get first downs. You don't need to be a good person, you just have to contribute to the wins. This has to hurt the Chiefs playoff success chances.

This is on the Cleveland Police, and possibly the DA. They held this evidence and I believe charged him with a misdemeanor. They should have given the NFL the heads up at the very least.

Hunt is definitely at fault. I don't care what that woman was saying, or doing. Couldn't have been as bad as what my ex-wife said and did as our marriage failed, and I walked away, every time, even when she assaulted me. It's not easy to do, but it's what a man must do.

Having said that, some women do intentionally provoke a man in an attempt to get control. In those situations, no matter how much in love one might be, it's an unhealthy relationship that needs to end.

That woman kept pressing her luck, and with those guys trying to hold Hunt back, she kept at it. I don't know why anyone would put themselves in danger like that, unless it was intentional. To get money or notoriety. No matter what her goal was, Kareem Hunt should have walked. Pro Athletes are targets.

Kareem let himself be baited, and a man that size should never let that happen. And, he insulted his friends who were trying to prevent him from making a life changing mistake. That girl could have been killed had her forehead hit the corner of that wall just right.

I just hope that other men learn their lesson from this. No matter whether it's provocation, or whatever, walk away. There's no excuse.

I agree it wasn't a 'kick' per se. But in the context of the fact that he just bull-rushed his large friend into her, sending her flying across the hallway, she hits her head on the wall, tries to get up and is obviously woozy and goes to her knees..then the 'kick' happens, but it's more of a shove with his foot - is that 'better' than a kick? Nope. Much worse, shoving some tiny lady down with your foot after you just sent her face into a wall.

Hunt had every opportunity to avoid this situation. His friends are obviously telling him to chill out and go back to the room, security or the cops could take care of a drunk groupie who may or may not be a little racist troll - irrelevant. Instead he escalated the situation and assaulted a woman who was physically harmless to him.

You're an NFL running back making millions and the world is your oyster, but you're gonna get mad and assault some girl? dope.

No wonder NFL coaches are routinely so bad at risk/reward analysis - they never had to develop it as players and when they finally got too old to lay hands on people (well some of them) they went the other direction and avoided risk in all possible facets ;)

I think Rock's bit was "I don't CONDONE hitting a woman............but I UNDERSTAND it."

I'm all for contrition, no matter the walk of life or situation. If there's no history of the person not learning their lesson and not being contrite and honest about what they did? Then no, I'm not down for forgiveness or second chances.

But if Hunt, or anyone for that matter is sorry, contrite and does what they need to do to make it right? Then yes, they deserve a 2nd chance. Just as we all would ask for.

I don't like the new age of death sentences for everyone for everything, no matter the severity of the situation. We need to bring a little common sense back into the equation.

I'm all for 2nd chances too. But that doesn't mean that there aren't consequences for your actions, even if it is your first transgression.

Agreed, that's why I said if Hunt is contrite and does what he needs to do to make it right.........whether that's legally or within the confines of the league and being suspended, I think he deserves a 2nd chance.
