Plenty of fast guys have done nothing in the nfl (so you don't think I'm husky bashing, see De'anthony Thomas).

Personally I'd much rather have Dante Pettis, who's more polished, than John Ross who runs fast in a straight line.

Watching Ross, I'm actually struck by his ability to burst out of cuts crisply. I believe that will help separate him at the next level between straight line fast players and legitimate NFL caliber receivers.

I'm actually pretty bullish on his prospects at the next level (injuries allowing). He doesn't double catch balls regularly and he is showing a lot of polish to go with his speed.
