Who gives a crap about this? It's like prior to is winning the bowl saying we have the nicest uniforms. It really means nothing.

Well, congratulations to the Chefs fans. Well done, indeed.

Now the question is, do they make noise at the proper time(s) in games...such as during the huddle through the snap and the whistle?
Or do they holler when some jack-wagon from Guinness says "GO!"?

Our noise affects players, plays and games. [Hello, false-starts]...
Theirs, probably not so much. At least I've never heard of such a reputation. Has anyone here heard of the Chefs rep for affecting games? Mizzou?

Yeah I still don't see what the big deal is. We are the 2 loudest stadiums in the league. Depending on the game, matchup, and score we could probably flip-flop between being ranked 1A and 1B with them every single week.

We're both extremely loud. Once everyone accepts that we can move on from this Record nonsense.

Hmm, we'll take rings on our fingers over ringing in our ears anyday!

Back in the 1990's yes but even then ours was more well known. Kansas City is far more known for their tailgate scene.

Arrowhead has actually always been considered the loudest in the NFL, until the last few years when people finally recognized the CLink.

But espn boston posted false start / delay of game penalties yesterday. Since the start of the 2013 season, arrowhead is actually in 1st place so yes they are loud all the time, not just when guinness shows up...... Here is the link http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-engl ... #f5a39da1c

I'm done with this crap too. Props to KC fans for breaking the record, the earned it. But the back and forth has become silly. "Let's see how loud we can be for a record breaking attempt!" I'm sure cowboys fans could blow everyone out of the water with their monstrosity of a stadium if they could get everyone behind it. All that really matters is the noise and passion that is brought consistently throughout a game.

This. I think we and KC appear to be a clear cut above the rest of the league in consistent loudness that affects the game. Notice how both of our peak recordings were people celebrating a big play, which is in fact a kind of pointless (although awesome) time to be loud from a tactical point of view.

For example, beast quake was glorious, but truthfully it does not say that much about our fans since alot of fan bases can get crazy jumping upp and down when a huuuge play happens in a playoff game. What makes us and KC awesome is that we get loud when the opposition is on offence, and we do it more consistently than others. The safety in the Super Bowl is more representative of our fanbase than beast quake imo.

(sent a PM by mistake, oups)

We'll if you are living in the past, we can't blame 9er fans for having that many Super Bowls??? We always revert back to " well that was years ago." Those stastics go back 10 years ago. The ones posted were from the last 20 games.

Since 2013? Seriously? That's called finding a stat that fits the agenda. Go back through the entire length of time Century Link has been open and compare and it's not even close.

I did. :th2thumbs:

Home field advantage[edit]
CenturyLink Field has earned a reputation as one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL. It is in the Guinness World Record books for being the loudest stadium in the world.[8][71][72] The seating decks and partial roof, both trap and amplify exceptional amounts of noise and reflect it back onto the field.[73] This noise contributes to increased false start penalties since opposing offenses can miss audibles and the snap count.[56][74] From 2002 through 2012, there have been 143 false-start penalties on visiting teams in Seattle, second only to the Minnesota Vikings.[75] During that same time period, the Seahawks have accumulated a home win record of 59-29, with a simultaneous road record of 33-55[76]
I don't see any reference to Arrowhead in any of the longterm available statistics.

I just hope the folks at the Clink don't stoop to coaching/video prompting the fans to yell at the proper time!

We won't take it back. They beat us by almost 5 dB. When we beat them it was by .1 dB. I think the only way we could match/beat it. Would be what we car audio enthusiasts call "burping". Which is a screen prompt and every person in the stand screams as loud as possible for like 2 seconds and then cut. But even then, if Arrowhead were to do the same thing, their record would get even more unattainable.

They won, give them props, and lets move on.

Ummmmm, isn't that pretty much what the Chiefs did last night to get the record?
