Hank Aaron stands up for Sherman

Back in the day when black athletes still weren't common place they would all stick together and make sure the young ones coming in understood the game and also were protected.

Hank Aaron brought back the lost tradition by throwing his full support behind Richard Sherman.

You don't have to like anything that Sherman had to say. But you better dislike it for the right reasons. As Sherman said himself, it takes a certain mindset to be able to play football at a professional level. Being a fan of this sport requires a certain level of understanding of the emotional outbursts of the players themselves.

Professional athletes really are the only ones to fully understand that mindset. Imagining my own thoughts had the Sherman reaction been made by a member of another team reminds me that i don't fully understand it.
