I got this solely for the Sunday Ticket, so it had better work.

I won't be keeping the game, so if anyone wants a brand new copy of Madden 25 (for PS3) for cheap, PM me.

I have tried directv's stream service for 3 years running. It has never once worked properly. Perhaps this year will be different, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

When you can get the video to play, the sound was usually off and the video quality was not very good.

IMO, save the money and use some of the other free options that may or may not be available on the internet.

I've been a happy DirecTV streaming only customer to watch the Hawks for 3ish years now. I usually set up my laptop to play through my TV or something of that nature. The service will be available this year (it was part of the re-upping of the direct TV contract) but DirecTV doesn't offer it on their website until ~1 week before the first game of the year. I suspect this is to force customers into paying for the actual subscription TV service.

*EDIT*: This is the link that will go active for the online only service is herehttp://directv.com/sundayticketspecial and a good description of the current state of things for this service is here and looks like everyone is right they cancelled the PS3 service http://www.sportsgeekery.com/28772/get-nfl-sunday-ticket-online-without-directv/

Hey all, OP here - with a follow-up,

So I just plugged my laptop into my TV (via HDMI) and I'm happy to say it looks to be a success! There's no way to know for sure until Week 1 begins (and the hawkening is underway, lol...) but as of this moment I'm able to watch redzone and it looks great - definitely rivals my standard TV quality (if not HD but beggers aren't choosers) and I'm one happy dude, $100 well spent (plus I got a game I'll probably never play, yaaaay!)...

I'll be sure to post another follow-up at halftime, week 1.

that's all I got, GO HAWKS!!!!!!!
