They are 9-1 when the opponent goes over 300 passing, 5-1 when the opponent goes over 390. That's crazy.
That's in the Jim harbaugh era

It's true. Of course, the statisticians have to go back to 1949 for that record. This current iteration of the 49ers (under Harbaugh) is 1-0 on the road.
Conversely, we are 2-9 all time on the road in the postseason, and 1-2 under Carroll. So not too far off, actually.
The more important stat for us is that we're 7-2 all time at home in the postseason.

Too lazy to look up the second home playoff loss. I remember the Dolphin loss relatively recently. Was the second one the Broncos in the W/C?
Nailed it.youngchew":155dmxoe said:Might be because the 9ers get up on teams early and their opponent needs to throw the ball the rest of the game..

I understand the reasons whu it might be, but 9-1, especially 5-1 when they go for 390 is beyond something u can explain away.5_Golden_Rings":vq88r64t said:That happens when teams abandon the run. It's not necessarily because we get a lead. Usually it's the one dimensional teams that give up on the running game when that happens, and while they move the ball through the air, the punt a lot and turn it over a lot, and give us good field position. The way to beat our defense is with a balanced attack. Everyone here knows this by now.
