Admitting you have a problem is the first step to fixing the problem. Smith is not the first to have this kind of substance abuse problem and will not be the last.

nope you're right, but playing him today was a douchebag move by your coach and organization. he needed to be at rehab or where ever yesterday. had to try and get one more victory in before we lose him.. nice priorities.

the train has left the tracks...

So, at what point do you ninny fans realize that you have a problem, and his name is Hardouche? Because, you know, that's the first step and shit.

The big thing will be when the NFL decides to suspend him, i doubt he gets away with this without being punished significantly, anyone have the average amount of games suspended for something like this?

Could not have said it better myself hawker84. Sincerely hope Aldon gets himself right. And Jimmy boy, it's all swirling down the bowl and those are your fingers on the handle douchebag.

No question about it......IMO, the Niners have just shot themselves in the foot. HFA is no longer a reality....just a dream!

Man, I wonder if they'll throw a suspension on top of his leave of absence. The league probably agreed to let it go if he's gone for a good 4-6 weeks in rehab.

Man, get out of here with that BS.

Smith is a once in a lifetime kind of player. I think the real issue is that behind your team leaders and fan support he developed a god complex.

If anyone is to blame its the red and gold douchebaggery that's been SFO the last two seasons.

I hope he gets better, I like Aldon even if he is a 9er.

That being said, he shouldn't of played today.

Seahawk fans aren't the only ones saying it was bullshit to play Smith yesterday.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--49ers ... 43971.html

The 49ers had a chance to make a statement Sunday that they value the well-being of one of their star players more than the result of a mid-September game. Instead, they sent the opposite message.

Rather than immediately deactivating outside linebacker Aldon Smith in the wake of his Friday arrest on suspicion of drunk driving, the 49ers allowed him to start and play virtually every key defensive snap in Sunday's 27-7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

This was a classless move by a classless organization. If this was Seattle, the media would be ripping us a new one.
