GM#1: I will give up the next top 10 pick we get, that could be next year or 14 years down the road...which is your BEST (round) pick you will give me right now for that right?

You are GM#2...which pick from this draft would you give up for a future top 10 pick?

If I recall correctly, Washington Redskins Coach George Allen (with his colorful "over the hill gang") forced the NFL to place a limit on how far into the future draft picks can be traded. The rationale being to protect franchises from having their draft futures mortgaged away by current regimes. If I were to guess, a 4 year limit would be my foggy recall.

Great point. I heard it was 3 years.
