Perfect opportunity to pick up a couple games on Oakland and they blow it against one of the worst teams. SAD.

Unless Ms sweep Oakland they are done

Season on line this weekend. Need 3 of 4. Itd leave us 3 back vs Oakland. They play NY for 3 and we play balty for 3.

Very nice win. LeBlanc with 7 scoreless and his best outing of the season. Jumped on Oakland early and cruised from there. 4.5 back. At least makes the rest of the series interesting.

Is the bullpen whoring for Diaz save opportunities, or does it really suck that hard?

Colome had a rough night. However he has been awesome for most part since we got him. Im not worried on colome. The others? Yes.(minus diaz)

Huge game tomorrow. I hope felix pulls out old felix tomorrow. I dont think he will and think we split with Oakland.

Hopefully im wrong and we sit 3.5 back with 25 left.

A split is a win for Oakland after the debacle in San Diego.

Oh well. Getting harder and harder to care.

Has anyone else noticed that seager is never ready for balls because he is always lifting his feet when the batter hits the ball? It's a bad habit to get into and he always does it so he ends up being incredibly slow to the side opposite of the raised foot.

Here is an example from today of a routine double play ball that was just out of his reach because his right foot was being lifted just as the batter made contact.

Another awful outing by Hernandez. Gets hit hard and walks 2 people. If you're going to get shelled every start, at least keep the damn ball over the plate and quit giving them free bases. Terrible command. How much more of him do we have to endure?

Still trying to live off of his fastball. He will get lit up everytime until he seldomly uses that pitch anymore.
Hitters are “sitting on” that pitch. 87-91mph and flat = batting practice for MLB hitters.

He was really good for 5 innings and unfortunately the 6th fell apart as well my dreams for playoffs.

Maybe ny will sweep Oakland and we sweep balty and be 2 back with 22 left but doubt it. Oakland will probably win 2 of 3.

Sucks a season was non playoffs when if in NL, they would be 1st in 2 of 3 divisions. I

5.5 back with 24 left. They have to go 20-4 rest of way

Source? I agree that there has not seemed to be a lot of fire in them, especially the bats, but the defense has been lackluster at times, too.

The team has seemed a bit complacent in the face of a season spiralling away from them.

Servais has been a bit low key, too. I know he's a rookie manager, but it seems like he could show a little more emotion to toward the guys. There comes a time when the manager has to KATN (kick ass and take names ;) ).

Thanks for the link. Always nice to get confirmation about things like that.

Not surprising things are tense. The season has been slipping away.

Or Oakland needs to go 4-20.
