With Quinton Jefferson being waived by the Rams I can see the Hawks re-signing him to the PS.

Of course he'd need to clear waivers first.

Thanks for posting those clips.

King is certainly an interesting prospect and one of the prototypical desired size. He has very good recovery speed, & ball sense, but will need to learn to jam better at the LOS. Looks like a perfect developmental guy for our system.

Tyvis Powell is a big and fast S as well and clearly a player the team wanted to try to keep but lost on waivers as they massaged the roster for the end of last season after Lockette got hurt Powell was waived for the addition of Devin Hester. I liked Powell addition as a UDFA last year as he was a well regarded Ohio S U player.

Nice to see Powell back on the PS.

I'm surprised the Hawks have not offered a PS spot to Q. Jefferson, who got cut recently. Kenny Lawler hasn't stuck on the PS either, but 5th or 6th receivers are a dime a dozen in the NFL so not a big deal. The Hawks must like David Moore, who has not been cut from the PS so far. Look for Moore to be promoted to the 53 man roster if a receiver goes down for the year.

Moore looked like a solid candidate to compete for a roster spot with his limited pre-season touches, but the numbers worked against him. Nice size, good quicks, good hands, still pretty raw in terms of the route tree, he's a perfect developmental player with a high potential for an upside.

Was suprised by the waiver of FS- Tyvis Powell who I thought was highly thought of by the team.

There should be 2 53 man roster moves with the IR designation of Thorpe and his replacement. and one PS move upcoming.

With regards to CB- Neiko Thorpe, his injury was to an ankle in the prior game.

Last Sunday, special teams/linebacker Dewey McDonald suffered a knee injury on the kickoff. It was feared to be an ACL. But, I have not run across an update on McDonald.

"I don’t have the last word of it, but he does have an ACL injury,” Carroll said. You're right it was McDonald not Thorpe that injured his ACL. McDonald is the candidate for IR not Thorpe.

Curious addition, if Braman is the replacement for McDonald. He's a good ST player.
