Just thought this was kind of telling. Thought I'd share.

Run blocking is a big deal. Aside from red zone offense in general, the glaring issue is a lack of rushing TD's through five games.

Attempts are a big deal too.

We probably need to take the points scored by our defense and special teams out of the PF totals. Doing so would give us a more accurate reflection on our offensive woes.

Laloosh, you have stepped up your game, while many around here have regressed.

Added some drive stats. Been waiting for them to be available but this is what I wanted to dive into yesterday.

Considering that I addressed a BIG difference in touchdowns through five games, I don't think we do. I'm trying to show an overall comparison while pinpointing where the differences really are. Overall, we're not that much different than last season at this time. Situationally, we have issues.

So the actual numbers are backing my decision to just relax because they really aren't any worse then last year at the very same point in the season? Cool beans.

Good work and thread Laloosh.

So, through 5 weeks of football we rushed the ball 7 times in the red zone. In week 7 alone, we did it 6 times. Wasn't pretty either. Lynch averaged 2.00 Y/A in the red zone, gaining only 12 yards on 6 carries. Got a TD though.

I'll take it.

[edit] I should have clarified, 5/6 were from the 3 or the 1. Hence the low Y/A. Not a knock on Lynch. He had a 9 yarder from the 12 or 13.
