Starting off the top of the hour Brock and Salk talk about the next two games coming up for the Seahawks. With games against Atlanta and Arizona the Seahawks have two very big tests coming up.

Need To Know: Jake Browning is now in the Heisman conversation after the win against Oregon. Completing 72% of his passes and throwing for 23 touchdowns is solidifying himself as a serious Heisman contender.


Cubs win in a thriller against the Giants 6-5 propelling them to the National League Championship series. Dodgers and Nationals head into game 5 in DC Friday.

John Clayton starts out the show today going over the biggest news stories from around the NFL and locally. Tony Romo is expected to come back soon; will the Cowboys bench Dak Prescott? It is hard to say because of Dak's impressive play. Archbishop Murphy High School won again by forfeit prompting national attention.

Jim Harbaugh is an odd guy and according to John thats nothing new.

The professor opens up the phone lines to talk about NFC rivals for the Seahawks.

Gee Scott joins the show for Behind the Lines! John and Gee go over rivals in NFC West and the upcoming match up against Atlanta

Brock and Slak Hour 2, Brock Huard: "Coach Jimbo FIsher says the pocket! The pocket is where a QB is more vulnerable because they're immobile."

They also said that when Russell's on the move, his eyes are ahead, looking to avoid contact, and he's able to slide, which protects the QB.

Inside the pocket, they get smoked sometimes from behind. Some of those hits look horrific!

To me, it all makes sense, but there's the fact that Russell's knee got hurt outside of the pocket. BUT, that was because his ankle was limiting his speed.

I can't remember, but didn't his ankle get hurt in the pocket?
